Along with the warm Spring sunshine many migrant birds arrive to join our resident species in song and the business of courtship, nest building and raising young. Spring flowers bloom and the sierra comes alive.
In July and August the villages celebrate their fiestas. Starting the day with colourful processions, followed by running the ‘bulls’ and partying until dawn.
The reds and golds of the autumn leaves give the sierra a special glow and there is always a chance to spot the many animals that roam the area, including red squirrel, deer and wild boar. And of course the mufflon.
The cold winter often brings snowfalls that transform the sierra into a magical wonderland by day and at night the stars shine like diamonds in the coal black skies.
